Hello everyone! I am Elizabeth, one half of the duo of sisters-in-law who blog together at Simple Simon and Company, where we love to share all things sewing, quilting and crafting. We have the same name (we married brothers), the same number of children and both have pound puppies. But as much as we have in common we are also very different. We have been blogging together for about 6 years and once thought we might run out of projects—-but 6 years later we now find we don’t have enough time to do all the projects that we would like to do! That’s us below. Liz is on the left and I am on the right.

As I said before we love all things sewing and quilting….and because of that, one thing that we ALWAYS have coming out of every nook and cranny of our sewing spaces is SCRAPS. I think they sometimes are taking over the world….and I very well can’t throw them away (they are precious!), so I’ve been trying to think of useful projects to pair down the scrap bucket. And this is a useful one for all of us…either to use or to give away—Fabric Scrap Holiday Cards.

Scrap Fabric Holiday Cards

All you have to do is print off the card templates, free hand some simple shapes–star for the wish card and triangles and a trunk for the Christmas tree and then stitch them on! Don’t worry about being precise, they will turn out great no matter what!
We have lots more tutorials over at Simple Simon and Company and even free sewing and quilting patterns to learn how to sew or even to make something during nap-time. See you there!
