Most of these recipes don’t use borax powder as the activator. Most people feel that contact lens solution is a somewhat safer alternative borax solution even though it does have boric acid. Slime Tips & Tricks to make your slime recipes turn out great!
- Add food coloring to the water, glue or glue and water mixture to help mix it in easily.
- Start small! A 1/2 cup of glue makes a lot of slime so we typically always start with 1/4 cup glue.
- We have found not all white glue is created equally. Some off brands don’t produce that great of slime.
- If one of your slime recipes calls for sodium tetraborate, that is the fancy word for Borax.
