Nativity Coloring Pages
Coloring is a stress-reducing activity for kids and adults. During this busy holiday gives kids a chance to settle down, and relax. Free Nativity scene coloring pages will keep kids busy and will be a reminder of what the season is about. Download and print on white copy paper. I love this hand-drawn Nativity. Mary and Joseph nestled in the stable with baby Jesus and surrounded by animals and a sweet angel.

You might like this version too! This one is a bit simpler without the manger and only a few animals.

Children might be interested to know more about the Nativity.
Who was at the Nativity scene?
You will see Jesus, his mother, Mary, and her husband, Joseph. Shepherds, sheep, other animals, the Wise Men bringing gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh, and angels may be displayed near the manger in a stable meant for farm animals, as described in the Gospel of Luke.
Why do they call it a Nativity?
The word nativity comes from the Latin word ‘natal’ which means birth. The Nativity recreates the scene of Jesus’ birth and shows Mary and Joseph with Jesus in a stable with animals and visited by the Shepherds and Wise Men.
What is a manger?
A manger, or feeding trough, is a structure or feeder used to hold food for animals. Jesus was laid in a manger.
What is Cresh?
A creche is a Nativity scene, a group of figures arranged to represent the birth of Jesus Christ.
What is swaddling cloth?
Swaddling is the practice of wrapping infants in blankets or cloths so that movement of the limbs is tightly restricted. The idea is that swaddling helps the baby feel snug and secure like when they were in the womb.
“And she gave birth to her firstborn son and wrapped him in swaddling cloths and laid him in a manger because there was no place for them in the inn” Luke 2:7
