
We love puppy chow so making Valentine Puppy Chow seems like a great thing to do. It is quite addictive! Corn and rice cereal covered in a layer of milk chocolate and peanut butter then coated in powdered sugar. What is not to like? Put it in a cute container and you have a sweet treat for friends! This would be a yummy treat for classroom parties served in a plastic red dog bowl from the dollar store. You could even attach a tag that says, “You’re a dog-gone good valentine,” or “have a dog-gone good Valentine’s Day.”
Valentine Puppy Chow
Add some festive candy to puppy chow for a fun holiday treat!
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 2 cups milk chocolate chips
- 1 16 ounce package crispy corn and rice cereal
- 1 pound powedered sugar
- 1/2 – 1 cup colored sixlets
- jumbo heart quins (optional)

Slowly melt peanut butter, butter, and milk chocolate chips over low heat in a saucepan. DO NOT BOIL. Once melted, pour over the cereal and toss until well coated.

Place the coated cereal in a large paper sack then add the powdered sugar, fold down the top of the bag and shake to coat. Add in colored candy pieces. Enjoy!
