Halloween Cookies are a great way to celebrate the season. From monsters to skeletons these decorated cookies will help you bake up a tasty holiday. If you are planning a Halloween party decorating cookies is the perfect way to entertain kids at classroom party or any party for that matter. Kids love making cookies and most everyone loves a delicious cookie and these recipes deliver. Many of them are sugar cookies, but I have thrown in our favorite no bake recipes, along with some simple recipes you can whip up and enjoy.

 

Halloween Sugar Cookies

First up, these skeleton and mummy cookies. How clever to use a gingerbread cookie cutter to make these Halloween sugar cookies. Skeleton cookies are for sure a sweet treat.  They use royal icing to make the details, but if you just want to bake up some cookies and frost, this is the best sugar cookie frosting hands down.  It’s Halloween so be sure to add extra candy decorations.  With these easy cookies your parties will be Spooktacular!

After you make your favorite sugar cookie outline a skeleton shape with royal icing and a #2 decorating tip.

Thin the royal icing and flood the head and part of the skeleton.

Allow icing to harden slightly.

Add facial details with black royal icing piped with a #2 decorating tip.

Using royal icing glue two candy eyes onto the cookie. Make the mummy’s dressings with a #46 basket weave tip.
